Episode 117

Kim Layer joins me for a very special Hanukkah Episode!  We discuss all types of crazy things in this out of place, but somehow perfect episode.  Albert takes on an apprenticeship with the local carpenter/coffin builder/Jewish man and is then called a Jew-Lover, ouch! I hope all of you enjoy this episode as Kim and Mark dive into the anger and confusion that can manifest from people who are different.

The Craftsman first aired on Monday, January 8, 1979!

“Albert becomes an apprentice for a craftsman who is Jewish. His classmates accuse him of being a Jew-lover and Laura is embarrassed because they accuse her when she tells them to quit picking on Albert. Albert learns to take pride in his work and when Mr. Isaac Singerman dies at the end of the summer, Albert follows his way of planting an acorn to grow a tree to repay the earth for the one he used in his carpentry.”
